About the role
Reporting to the National Business Manager - Coles – you will ultimately be responsible for the management of selected categories within the Coles business as well as building long term relationships with existing key customers, focusing on sales and profit in line with company objectives and delivering on KPI's.
Responsibilities:
- Achieving strategic objectives with trade partners – i.e. Net revenue, trade spend, gross margin, scan market share, product & placement share
- Management and development of the Coles Business
- Develop strong and lasting business partnerships
- Ensure continued growth through driving sales and managing spend
- Manage P&L for Coles within Brand responsibility
- Manage and execute customer promotional program
- Manage customers in store activity via Strikeforce, our 3rd party merchandiser’s
- Negotiate customer promotions internally
- Prepare presentations for regular reviews
- Responsible for introducing and maintaining products and conducting market analysis to portray product success
- Provide market analysis to identify new opportunities
- Continuous improvement in the management of accounts by identifying opportunities for efficiency, profitability, and overall improvement in the management of categories
About you
- Exposure to account management in Grocery
- Exceptional relationship development skills, with the ability to build strong rapport
- Strong negotiation and selling skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies with measurable implementation
- Strong excel skills essential.
- Experience with scan data e.g. Circana, highly desirable.
- Strong commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities
- Highly motivated, with the ability to work autonomously
- Personality and passion to succeed
- Proactive in approach and meticulously organized
- Exposure/ understanding of DSX Product Forecasting
