THE ROLE
Reporting to the Sales Director, the National Account Manager role is responsible for achieving continual ranging growth, sales growth and profit targets. This is driven through head office negotiations, which will require the execution of sales strategies, distribution growth, promotional execution, selling in of NPD, and activation.
This is an amazing opportunity to join our high performing team, in a high growth business, supporting our major grocery accounts for both Barambah Organics and five:am organic brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve KPIs: Net Sales, Gross Profit, incremental distribution & ranging growth,
- Establish and execute, agreed business plans and account strategies.
- Building impactful relationships with customers, and key stakeholders.
- Develop fully integrated account plans to ensure that quality, service, credibility and sales are maximized.
- Collaborate with retail partners to develop win-win sales strategies and specific account initiatives to become retailers’ preferred business partner
- Identification of incremental sales opportunities, building of business cases, selling stories to support these, and management of go to market.
- Trade investment management, including review and analysis to assess the ROI & provide recommendations, managing pricing, trading terms, and discounts to optimise performance
- Reporting & analysis for ongoing sales performance, NPD launches etc.
- Work collaboratively with the supply chain team & VRPs to manage forecast and supply.
ABOUT YOU
This pivotal role is best suited to an ambitious team player and natural leader who can build great relationships easily. Your previous years' experience have ideally been spent in an FMCG organisation – maybe in supporting Account Managers and you are now looking to step up and test yourself at the next level. Or you are already at a NAM level, and you are looking to prove yourself in a high growth, fast paced business. It’s time for you to make a difference – with the right level of support to ensure your success.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience as a NAM/NBM or NAE level
- Highly driven, autonomous, and be a self starter. Willingness to get hands dirty – we are a business with big ambitions.
- Sound commercial and business acumen skills to deliver commercial recommendations and decisions
- +5 years’ practical experience in FMCG sales, ideally working with Coles or Woolworths.
- Agile & ability to juggle multiple priorities, make recommendations quickly.
- Confidence dealing with various stakeholders and building relationships, at multiple levels internally and with customers.
- Analytical with advanced capability in Excel, PowerPoint and Sales software
- Strong presentation skills – using insights to create a story with the ability to engage an audience
- Qualifications in Business/Commerce, or equivalent relevant experience.
