National Logistics Manager

Based in Brisbane, the National Logistics Manager is responsible for national inventory management, warehousing and distribution of finished goods and packaging material to ensure forecasted sales requirements are achieved. There will be occasional travel involved to Perth & Victoria.

As National Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor and review transport costs, performance, and quality to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor and review storage capacity and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.
• Operate recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods.
• Liaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation.
• Oversee the recording of purchase, storage, and distribution transactions.  Ensure the accuracy of stock inventory.
• Identification, analysis and reporting of slow moving and obsolete inventory monthly and as required.
• Development of action plans in conjunction with the sales and operations teams to minimise exposure to obsolescence.
• Assist in the provision of performance data to improve operational costs and efficiencies.
• Manage inter-branch transfers and optimised location of raw honey.
• Manage, stocktake and maintain hire pallecons and pallets and their associated account accuracies.
• Participate in communications with key stakeholders delivering the production plan. 
• Liaise with sales teams on stock delivery to meet sales demand.
• Management of team including recruitment, orienting, training and succession planning of key roles. 
• Developing and managing annual budgets and business plans and providing reports. 

What you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• FMCG, planning and logistics Experience.
• Current knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Well-developed computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Previous experience in preparing and managing budgets.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Great time management
