A key part of the business is its logistics operations and huge opportunity has been identified to improve and optimise which will be driven by the recruitment of a skilled Transport Manager who will oversee all transport operations across ANZ.
The Role
Reporting into the GM Supply Chain your responsibilities will include;
- Management of the company's ANZ transport operations and service providers across multiple sites
- Financial management of all logistics operations costs including freight spend vs budget
- Leadership and development of the COR and the delivery of robust policy and procedure to ensure a safe working environment
- Develop strategic short and long term plans for the logistics function
- Lead continuous improvement programs, reducing waste, improving service levels, improving financial performance
In order to be successful in this role you will be;
- You will be a passionate and driven supply chain professional that has the ability to lead a team to deliver outstanding results
- A deep understanding of COR is non negotiable
- Extensive experience in leading and managing transport operations across a national footprint of DC's and customers
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to build strong relationship both internally and externally from the organisation will be essential.
- Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to develop and report on KPI's
The National Transport Manager position is a key member of the leadership group and will lead all activity in the movement of product through from manufacturing to customer. This position will lead the development and transformation of a best in class transport operation specifically focused on the development of efficiency, costs and COR. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service levels are met or exceeded, as well as leading and delivering on the company's strategic logistics objectives.
