Selling points Full-time 38 hours per week, On-going position Warrnambool Campus $77, 946 per annum, plus superannuation Short Description As the Network & Security Engineer you will liaise with and provide strategic and technical level advice and action on the SWTAFE Network and cyber security related matters to the organisation Salary $77, 946 per annum, plus superannuation Reporting to the Team Leader - ICT Services, the Network & Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and Security of South West TAFEs network infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Network and Security solutions to protect South West TAFE systems and data from unauthorised access, vulnerabilities, and threats whilst ensuring the IT network is efficient and meeting the IT service requirements of staff and students. As Network & Security Engineer you will liaise with and provide strategic and technical level advice on cyber security related matters to the organisation such as endpoint security configuration, vulnerability risk mitigation, privileged access management, endpoint compliance scanning results, firewall configuration and network security. This role assists with the governance, policy and processes with respect to cyber security risks and controls. This role includes supporting and executing projects related to the ICT & Innovation strategic plan, creating and managing cyber security policies and procedures and collaborating with team members, end-users and third parties to identify and address technology needs and challenges. The must haves Mandatory requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Network and Security Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in managing network infrastructure and implementing security solutions. Variations of the above point will be considered Employee Victorian Working with Children and satisfactory Police Check Current Victorian Driver’s license Highly desirable requirements Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) Experience in project management would be advantageous About us South West TAFE is an education hub with a difference.
