The Roles, the Network Support Officer will perform:
- Provide operational support for the voice and data communications network infrastructure, its users and solve technical problems to minimise system down-time and loss of productivity.
- This role will primarily provide remote network support to users.They will be primarily office based and involves work during normal business hours. However, this role also provides on-call support after hours and involves occasional travel to remote sites when required.
To provide first point networking support for:
- Cisco router, switch, voice gateway, CUCM, VOIP phones, Teleconference/AV devices
- Aruba wi-fi system/equipment e.
g. controllers, wireless access points (WAP)
- Network monitoring
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, incl network hardware, software, configuration
- Teleconference/AV and Collaboration System support.
- Implement standard set up activity for network, audio visual equipment and other ICT systems in line with SLA’s, policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Monitor and analyse network performance of existing and new systems.
- Contribute to the development of reference materials to assist the ICT support community through maintenance of documentation on system configuration and tech.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:
- Experience in a similar role providing first point network support on Cisco devices, networking, phones, switches/routers, teleconferencing.
- Given they will be part of a 24/7 team, they will need to be on call for 1 week, once a month to provide after-hours support.
