About the role
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced NPI Superintendent to join our construction team on the Onslow project. You will oversea the construction of the resort style accommodation in Onslow itself. The role reports directly to the Area Manager on site. This style of FIFO accommodation is the first of its kind in WA and will be a game changer to our industry for years to come. this role will be working on a 2:1 roster with FIFO options from Perth or Brisbane.
The role
- Deputise for and assume the responsibility of the Area Manager in their absence
- Advocate and maintain cost effective procedures to achieve optimum plant output, availability, reliability and performance
- Develop and maintain effective Safe Work Instructions.
- Manage, control and supervise the site production teams and establish a committed and focused team arrangement
- Provide ongoing direction, mentoring, training and support to the Supervisors and work crew
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports as directed
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and relevant standards and codes
- Compliance with all Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner at all times and participation in any Safety or Training initiatives identified and implemented by the Company and/or the Client
- Assist with, and contribute to operational and improvement activities associated with the planning and performance of works to ensure the smooth running of the site based operations
What you’ll bring to the team
- Minimum 5+ years demonstrated previous experience and capability in high-end/resort-style projects environment would be highly regarded
- Have recent demonstratable experience in a Superintendent role preferably from a civil or commercial building background overseeing large crews in remote locations.
- Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- C Class Driver’s License
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Section 44
- Section 26 (desirable)
