The NSW/ACT Market Manager in the Retail Sales team is accountable for driving the execution Metro, Regional and State-wide strategic initiatives that drive incremental Retail sales, revenue and Market share growth.
You will lead, define, plan and execute a State Marketing execution Plan made up of bespoke Localised Marketing strategies tailored to key segments across both Metro and Regional geographies to achieve these goals.
Working closely with the State Retail team, Localisation and marketing, you will deliver the above goals through innovative and engaging strategies. You will also collaborate with and influence a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders may include but not limited to; store retail teams, Localisation general managers, Acquisition and Retail Marketing teams, Go-to-market, Product and Networks teams. External stakeholders may include but not limited to; University administrations and student unions, local clubs and associations and other organisations that Optus has a business relationship with.
These stakeholders at various times are critical to the delivery of the State Marketing Plan and ultimately the achievement of the commercial objectives of this role.

-Proven experience in a significant sales & marketing capacity
-Proven track record of driving high sales performance in a multi-site environment
-A creative and innovative individual with extensive knowledge of marketing principles
-Prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in executing on your plans – this may include working outside of usual office hours
-Experience in a telecommunications, banking or similar service retail role
-Strong track record achieving business results from strategic activities
-Advanced communication both written and verbal including specific areas such as negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
-Experience in managing multiple and diverse stakeholders
-Project, time and budget management skills
-Ability to work to critical deadlines in a high pressure environment
-Self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi task
-Preferably a Tertiary degree in business, marketing or communication
-Strong analytical and commercial skills to perform post implementation reviews of initiatives
