Job description

Our client, a well-respected Australian not-for-profit organisation, is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge medical research and improving the lives of those affected by serious illness. To accelerate brand growth and drive community impact they are now seeking a highly-skilled Marketing Director to spearhead Marketing & Communications efforts on a national level.

 The Scope:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive brand strategy that spans all foundation verticals - research, fundraising, community, advocacy programs, donors, and B2B partnerships.
  • Champion the brand narrative across all channels/audiences with a focus on maximising opportunities to increase brand visibility, community awareness, amplification and authority as subject matter experts.
  • Drive commercial performance using data-driven insights to optimise fundraising acquisition and engagement, contributing to organisational growth and community impact.
You'll Require:
  • Brand Marketing Expertise: Strategic and executional experience in purpose-driven marketing and communications. The ability to work across all touch-points & channels - digital, PR, content, email, social, print, activations, events. (Min. 12+ years in an in-house marketing or creative agency environment). Prior fundraising / charity experience would be advantageous.
  • Commercial Acumen: Capable of holistic brand planning, growth-focused, data-driven, track record of measurable results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in building relationships and influencing cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Leadership: Inspires action, supports team growth, fosters collaboration and innovation throughout the organisation. 
The ideal candidate is:
  • Proactive and Opportunistic: A savvy operator who can effectively impact and influence strategically, creatively and operationally. You are naturally resourceful with a 'muck-in' attitude.
  • Self-Starter: Capable of initiating best practice systems and daily operations. Passionate about utilising innovative brand marketing techniques to drive maximum impact and deliver purposeful outcomes that enable positive change for the cause.
  • Personable and Engaging: Effective communicator who fosters strong relationships with all audiences and leads with empathy and trust.
This growing organisation supports a values-based culture steeped in passion, high-performance, and dedication to the cause. They offer hybrid working onsite in Sydneys North, minimum 2 x days in office. As a newly created role, the Marketing Director will likely appoint 2 x direct reports in the future (digital/content).
