Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse Consultant Nurse Navigator position based in beautiful Cooktown is responsible for providing a high level of communication and clinical skills to holistically assess the health and well-being of the complex needs of patients within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

To be successful in this role you will have:
Ability to demonstrate comprehensive and expert knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice and application of specialised nursing knowledge relevant to area of professional practice.
Demonstrated ability to provide nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to professional nursing at an advanced level.
Demonstrated advanced interpersonal communication skills with various stakeholders (staff, clients, relatives, community groups etc.).

Requirements for the role:
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory.
Minimum of five years' experience (clinical or management) post registration.
