Form of work Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse Consultant Nurse Navigator position based in beautiful Cooktown is responsible for providing a high level of communication and clinical skills to holistically assess the health and well-being of the complex needs of patients within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Ability to demonstrate comprehensive and expert knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice and application of specialised nursing knowledge relevant to area of professional practice.
* Demonstrated ability to provide nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to professional nursing at an advanced level.
* Demonstrated advanced interpersonal communication skills with various stakeholders (staff, clients, relatives, community groups etc.).

Requirements for the role:
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory.
* Minimum of five years' experience (clinical or management) post registration.
