The Good Samaritan Medical Centre is a multi-disciplinary health clinic. We have a diverse team of male and female doctors and a wide range of services including Physiotherapy, podiatry, dietitian and counselling to provide a holistic approach to the patients.
Available position: Occupational Therapist as a contractor with 60% of billings or part-time position also available ($115 - $126 per hour)
A great opportunity has opened for a contractor role for Occupational Therapist to work within our multidisciplinary care team. We are looking for an energetic, passionate and dedicated therapist to take on the role of Occupational Therapist in both clinic and mobile settings, based in South West Sydney.
About our clinic:
The Good Samaritan is a young and enthusiastic team with big ambitions. We pride ourselves on the quality of our relationships with the wider community and the quality of our interventions and support to our clients. As we expand our services, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist who can provide additional allied health service in our clinic and as a mobile therapist in homes or schools. The position has the potential to grow to a permanent position if desired.
The successful applicant will work with a diverse caseload of clients with increasing complexity, multiple co-morbidities and functional limitations across multiple areas of their life. The applicant will be able to conduct a range of interventions, functional assessments, home modification, prescription of assistive technology and report writing.
You will have control over your caseload and the days you work.

Your responsibilities include:
- The successful applicant will provide clinic and mobile Occupational Therapy services to The Good Samaritan’s clients in Sydney.
- Provide face to face and occasional telehealth to clients in community settings.
- Provide appropriately targeted education for clients, carers and staff as required
- Sensory Assessments
- Supporting the development of functional skills in areas including social skills, self-care, behaviour, fine and gross motor skills, mealtime management, along with sensory, memory and information processing interventions.
- Assessing environments, prescribing aids, equipment and modifications as required, within funding guidelines
- Ensure appropriate written and verbal communication with key stakeholders as required including timely reports.
- Communicate and work efficiently and collaboratively with the team to ensure best practice & integrated client care
Essential and Desirable skills:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
- Minimum 12 Months of experience.
- National Police Check
- Working with Children check
- NDIS experience preferable
- Work independently and within our care team
- Professional presentation and demeanour
- Caring attitude, flexible, positive approach to work
