Occupational Therapist - Team Leader/Therapy MentorEmployment Term - Full Time, Ongoing

In your new role you will influence and champion a culture of excellence to empower your team to make positive changes for people and communities. You will use your highly developed clinical skills to support people under a social model of disability, breaking barriers to reveal their abilities.
You will lead a team of therapists who are adaptable, solution orientated, outcome driven and invested in making a difference in people’s lives and they are waiting to meet you.
As the Team Leader/Therapy Mentor you will:
- Provide the leadership so that all Child and Family team members deliver a service which aligns with the therapy cycle and best practice principles.
- Ensure that team members provide an efficient service which is cost effective and provides timely access to services, where they incorporate habit coach services into their service delivery.
- Work with Team Members to deliver a coordinated and planned service - demonstrating professional practices eg completing therapy planning and booking calendars in advance
- Ensure Team Members have a caseload that matches their scope of practice and the mentoring support to extend their scope of practice.
- Induct new Team Members to ensure they have a delightful onboarding experience.
- Support Team Members in the development and implementation of grow plans and ensure they access internal learning opportunities and professional development.
- Along with the Advanced Therapy Mentor create and curate local learning opportunities for team member ensuring that they receive and participate in a balance of group and individual learning.
- Collaborate with admin to ensure timely conversion of participants into caseloads.

- Used your qualification as an Occupational Therapist, deliver therapy within your discipline, bringing your client’s hopes and dreams to life using social model of therapy
- Supported a therapist to implement their Grow Plan to achieve their learning goals
- Collaborated with key stakeholders within the organisation to support your team to achieve their KPIs
- Approved team member leave, led a team meeting, and given a ‘shout out’ to a team member who did a great job
- Undertaken professional development or learning to develop as a leader or clinician
- Attended a weekly huddle with the Team Leaders in your region to unpack opportunities for improving service delivery in your region
- Worked together with your Area Lead and Regional Lead to meet demand for our services
- Shared a joke and a laugh with colleagues

- For this role, we are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration)
