By supporting the academic endeavour across teaching, research, and the student life, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to activities that have a lasting impact on our community.Join a community where excellence is at the core of our culture, contributions are valued and a range of are available, such as:26 weeks paid parental leave or 14 weeks paid primary caregiver leave17% superannuation contributions17.5% annual leave loadingAccess to flexible working arrangements including hybrid working options, flexible start/finish times, purchased leave, and a condensed fortnightHealth and wellness discounts – fitness passport access, free yearly flu vaccinations, discounted health insurance, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and their immediate familyOn campus childcare optionsCheap parking (from just $5 a day)Salary packaging optionsAbout This OpportunityThe Operations and Administrative Officer supports the delivery of all fundamental administrative processes required to support the Research Office effective functioning as an agile, client-focussed, enabling service.Given the fast-paced environment of the Research Office, your ability to juggle multiple priorities, provide a high level of customer service and have an eye for the details will be among your strengths.Key responsibilities include:Support the alignment of Research Office functions and service delivery with the Functional Charter through the monitoring, review and update of processes, administration and governance.Assist in the maintenance of Research Office website and other materials provided to the research community.Support delivery of the annual calendar of governance and operational activities, such as websites/intranets, SharePoint and teams sites to ensure content is standardised, appropriate and consistent.Support the administration of internal grant rounds.Support the pre- and post-award teams in grant rounds, Operations and research project life-cycle management, including Progress and Final Reports processing.Undertake timely data entry, compliance and data surveillance checks of research grants-related data.This is a full-time position, fixed term until April 2027, based at the St Lucia campus.At HEW Level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $74,378.89 - $82,842.92, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $87,023.30 - $96,926.22 annually.As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.About YouEither completion of: a relevant degree without relevant work experience; advanced diploma qualification and at least one year of subsequent relevant work experience, a diploma qualification and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.High level of computer proficiency and practical understanding of administrative computer based applications, especially with data on corporate systems. Proficiency at an advanced level using computer software packages for word-processing, data storage and retrieval, and spreadsheets.Excellent written communication skills and effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.Well-developed analytical skills (including interpreting guidelines and procedures) and excellent attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
