About the position
Council’s Safer Communities Department is looking for an Operations Coordinator with Community Support Frankston (CSF), who will be responsible for position objective.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Coordination, supervision, rostering and debrief of staff/volunteers as they undertake their assigned duties.
- Recruit, assess, and train staff/volunteers to ensure that personnel levels are suitable for CSF to maintain its services effectively and efficiently within the community.
- Liaise with external service providers, including co-located services, in assisting our staff/volunteer team to secure positive outcomes for clients
- Administering and distributing Emergency Relief Program funds under the guidelines, policies and procedures of CSF and funding bodies
This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week, based at the Community Support Frankston building located at 35 Beach Street Frankston.
- We are looking for a person that is able to motivate a diverse team of staff/ volunteers, and work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment
- You have the ability to make clear, concise and well communicated decisions on individual circumstances
- Have demonstrated skills in managing conflict situations with a strong ability to multi-task and support others
- You hold a minimum Diploma of Community Services or relevant qualifications in a welfare/ community support / development vocation

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated between $78,589.24 to $90,272.36 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
