Operations Coordinator / Allocator

About the Company

THE ROLE
As an Allocator/ Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operation and optimization of fleet performance and efficiencies to deliver first class service to their customers.

• Select appropriate loads and routes to maximise utilisation of fleet
• Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure deliveries are met and exceed customer expectations
• Create daily runs for drivers including debriefs for safety and compliance
• Adhere to safety policies including incident investigations, inspections and reporting
• Receive and action any customer requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Complete data reconciliation and customer reporting to meet weekly requirements
• Proactively manage unexpected emergencies and provide contingency plans to customers
• Coordinate with the service team regarding breakdowns, repairs and servicing
• Ensure accurate and timely entry and completion of manifests, subcontractor payments and payroll procedures
• Process damage claims, invoice reconciliation and data entry

Skills and experience should include

• Previous experience in transport or warehouse despatch industry essential
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proactive approach to problems that may arise - Problem solver
• Excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills
• Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiative, while ensuring we maintain our strong customer and safety focus.
• Trustworthy with a high level of integrity and commitment toward the company and business needs
• Ability to work independently whilst also as part of a team
• Experience in ERP system - SAP/Oracle highly regarded
