55 Central is a not-for-profit organisation that provides housing and support services to people who are facing homelessness, living with mental illness or addiction issues or have other issues impacting on their lives.
The Role
The Operations Manager will manage and support the team in keeping with contractual and budgetary guidelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain existing networks with other agencies and organisations
- Ensure each client has a documented client support plan outlining agreed goals and steps to achieve those goals
- Regularly review and monitor service progress and ensure data is regularly inputted at source
- Review and monitor staff performance through regular supervision and annual appraisal
- Ensure maintenance and up-keep of the facilities are carried out within budgetary guidelines
- Maintain and administrate staff roster of the crisis accommodation service
- Alternate on-call duty with one other staff
Selection Criteria
- Relevant university degree and/or equivalent professional experience
- Understanding of trauma informed care, homelessness, mental health and AOD
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, mentoring and guidance
- Experience in working, initiating and maintaining collaborative work relationships with other networks
- Ability to set priorities, plan and organise workload
- Knowledge of relevant policy, legislation and models of service delivery pertaining to people experiencing homelessness
