The Role:
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced “hands-on” Operations Manager to join their growing food manufacturing & packaging operation based in Dudley Park.
Our client is an Australian owned and operated company entering a critical growth phase and is committed to expanding its innovative range.
You will be responsible for efficient operations of the production floor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement & safety and ensuring their manufacturing processes remain at the forefront of excellence.

Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in FMCG industry
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production
- Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people to initiate and deliver change
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety practices, HACCP, and WH&S principles
- Well-developed management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst working in high pressure situations
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement practices
- Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation
- A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude
- Demonstrated resilience, professionalism and work ethic.

Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Implement & meet production schedules and quality standards
- Ensure company policies and processes are in place and adhered to
- Lead, motivate, and develop a small production team
- Implement, maintain and train staff on best practices for production processes & equipment - fillers, capper, labellers and pouch machine
- Support safety, hygiene, and environmental initiatives
- Operate machinery and equipment to support food product manufacturing
- Arrange equipment maintenance when required
- Trouble shoot equipment malfunction
- Ensure daily production outputs are achieved and customer requirements met
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
- Maintain key relationships internally and externally
