Sovereign Lives Victoria is in the process of hiring a full-time Operations Officer in the Ballarat-based office. Position Objectives:
Oversee the Operations department and provide leadership to the team, inputting in the three-year strategic vision document, annual business planning, preparing monthly management reports, co-responsible for DSW coordinating with the HR Team, organizing promotional events, building network, ensuring continuous referrals for support, managing the roster & care coordinator team, responsible for operational compliance of the organization, managing participants/families’ concerns and complaints, assist CEO in marketing the organization and meeting new Participants and their families to welcome them to the organization introduce to the company services and vision.
The Operations Officer is responsible for leadership of the services that support people with disabilities, across their lifecycle and in all domains of life, to enable access to a quality life with dignity, respect, and social inclusion, in the least restrictive environment.
Operating at Sovereign Lives Victoria, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- To promote Sovereign Lives Victoria as an organization that supports people and their families through self-directed planning, with a strong focus on personalized inclusion, and education of the community to celebrate and support people with various abilities.
- To engage in the improvement of the organization's services and work environment
- To consult with & be accountable to the Higher Management staff for support, major decision-making, and implementation of new policies, roles, activities, or other decisions.
- Support a multidisciplinary team of disability professionals by providing operational support and monitoring the appropriateness, effectiveness, and efficiency of service delivery.
- Provide supported employment options for service users and/or supported employees.
- Ensure a range of high-quality disability, day, and residential services for service users and/or supported employees.
- Be delegated to undertake CEO duties when the CEO is not available
- Work independently
- Take pride and leadership for all operations of Sovereign Lives Victoria

- Abide by the NDIS code of conduct
- Manage complaints/feedback/incidents and to act promptly
- Notify the NDIS Commission about all critical incidents within the same day and to develop opportunities for improvement
Qualifications & Skills required for this role:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Community & Human Services, or other related healthcare services
- Or Diploma in Business Management & Leadership, with experience in the healthcare setting
- Past Experience in NDIS Support Coordinating, case manager, or other team-leading/management roles is preferred
