Operations Support - 4 Nights On - 4 Nights Off

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations professional  to join our Melbourne (Derrimut) operations team on a 4 on 4 off roster, with fixed hours of 4pm to 4am.

This role is pivotal in ensuring continuity between our day shift and night shift operations, supporting a 24/7 high-volume business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are a willing team member who is the conduit between ensuring both the operational and administrative requirements are met.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Allocate and assign driver runs to meet customer requirements (Local and linehaul fleet movements)
• Liaise with drivers, customers and vendors to ensure on-time performance for local deliveries and pick-ups
• Administrative support to ensure all relevant paperwork is actioned
• Assist with reporting, investigation and close out of any safety and/or compliance incidents or near-miss events

To be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate and meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated industry experience in heavy transport and/or logistics or with experience in freight allocation (preferably refrigerated transport)
• Strong people management, including the ability to clarify expectations, mediate and resolve conflict
• Demonstrated computer skills and systems experience (Outlook mailbox management; consignment note entry & manifesting experience)
• Good knowledge of the Melbourne metro area;
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• The ability to multi-task, make decisions and remain calm in a high-volume time-sensitive environment
• Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency with unrestricted working rights
• Clear understanding of safety, NHVAS and CoR requirements necessary to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
