About these Opportunities:The team you will join contributes to maintaining and preserving Mackay Regional Council’s Park assets by undertaking basic gardening, landscape improvements and general maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will have:Demonstrated experience and expertise in mowing and operating small plant equipment, including tractors, mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, brush cutters, chippers, blower vacs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and strong attention to detail with ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Safety as a high priority when operating plant and equipment and take pride in their work.To learn more about the key responsibilities of this opportunity – please refer to the attached position description. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:General Construction Induction TrainingQLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalentMedium Rigid (MR) Licence. Experience in the operation and maintenance of large ride-on mowers, whipper snippers and small plant including power tools and equipment used for general maintenance tasks. Prospective candidates who are shortlisted will undergo a practical demonstration during the interview process, showcasing their proficiency with diverse equipment such as ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, and hedge trimmers.
