Our client is a leading commercialisation support program for Australian digital health companies creating innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology. Due to organic growth within the business they are searching for a reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and perform various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with their Finance team to ensure accurate and efficient bookkeeping practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Complete monthly payroll for 20 staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Prepare financial reports for management review.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing.
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly GST & BAS returns.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist in financial reporting including generating trial balance reports and verifying balance sheet integrity.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in utilising Xero.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or related field preferred.
