Mercy Bariatrics is a busy Specialist Practice with allied health and other consultants. We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team on a permanent part-time based in Mount Lawley. Your ability to work efficiently, accurately and autonomously will be needed in this role.
The position will initially be two to three days a week and you should also be able to cover busy times and provide leave cover.
The successful candidate must have medical administration experience, be well presented, have excellent communication skills, customer service, time management and organizational skills with attention to the smaller details, and have a positive attitude towards patients. Be able to multi-task in our fast paced environment, be a problem solver and thinking on your feet is required as well as showing initiative. Genie experience would be desired but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients.
- Organizing patient booking, including liaising with hospital bookings, surgical assistants and anaesthetist.
- General phone enquiries including patient support and appointments and responding to emails in a timely fashion.
- Managing the daily schedule of the consultants and theatre billing.
Essential Skills
- Theatre booking and billing experience (Eclipse).
- Specialist Medical Secretary experience
- Sound computer and excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
