Servicing the mining, earthmoving, and transport industries, EMJC Earthmoving & Plant Hire has offices, a yard and mechanical workshops located in Perth, Newman, and an onsite team in Collie.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen to join our team based in Hazelmere in the role of Parts Interpreter and Purchasing Officer.
Reporting to the General Manager Perth Operations and working closely with the existing Purchasing Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the interpreting of the required parts for various machines via catalogues, purchasing receipts and despatch requirements including sourcing parts, allocating parts and products to jobs, managing stock levels and tracking items until fulfilment.
Given the nature of role, purchasing requests and orders are often urgent and do effect continuity of machinery works across various mine sites, therefore the successful candidate must have experience and be able to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Essential skills and qualifications for this role include: -
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in a similar role
- Broad knowledge of earthmoving equipment and mechanical workshop operations
- Strong knowledge of earthmoving parts suppliers
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong reporting and computer skills
