To augment our offerings, we are thrilled to launch breakfast and lunch options, featuring a delightful fusion of Nepalese bakery products and Australian tastes.
As an experienced Baker/Pastry Chef/Bakery Chef at Lakhey Melbourne, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding our culinary offerings. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing unique recipes that marry the flavors of Nepalese bakery products with Australian influences, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for our customers.
Further duties will include:
- Develop and execute recipes for a variety of bakery and pastry items with a fusion of Nepalese and Australian flavors.
- Bake and decorate pastries, bread, cakes, and other items to perfection.
- Ensure the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to uphold the cafe's high standards.
- Collaborate with the cafe's management team to plan and implement bakery menus.
As Pastry Chef, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen operations, guiding our talented team to deliver exceptional bakery items. Your role will encompass both leadership and culinary prowess, as you collaborate with our service team to ensure top-notch dining experiences.
Applicants must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role as a Pastry Chef/Baker, preferably with a focus on Nepalese bakery products.
You will also have:
- Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry and cake decoration, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and the ability to innovate in merging Nepalese and Australian flavors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
