The role of Payment Operations Officer is responsible for providing efficient, effective and accurate performance across a variety of Member Services and Payments functions. This includes Reconciliations, Cards, Card Claims/Disputes, Direct Entry, BPay, Member Chequing, NPP, and auto transfers.

Key duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Daily reconciliations of bank, clearing and suspense accounts including loan and deposit portfolios
- Manage and maintain the dormant accounts and unclaimed monies registers in accordance with ASIC procedures
- Process payment and batch files for BPay, Cards, Direct Entry, Member Chequing, Auto Transfers and NPP
- Investigate, resolve and respond to Member disputes, claims, discrepancies, and mistaken payments in accordance with the ePayments Code and Scheme Rules
- Assist with implementation of Payments projects and new procedures
The ideal candidate
We would love to hear from candidates who are experienced in in the world of payments and have previously enjoyed a similar role within the financial services sector and eager to get involved in project work.
Ideally having proven experience within banking or financial services, you will have excellent communication skills and be passionate about customer service. With payment systems knowledge, including exposure to programs such as Core Banking, Technology One, CRM, Fiserv Connect you will be highly proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
