The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll Administratorto join us at GenusPlus Group and support our team of 3 with end-to-end payroll processing. The role is offered on a Casual basis for 2 days per week at our Belmont office.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator’s responsibilities will include:
- Provide administration support on payroll activities including entering and updating employee information, job and project details, reporting lines, rosters and pay policies.
- Assist with processing weekly and fortnightly pay runs ensuring all adjustments and deductions are accurate.
- Act as a first point of contact for payroll and system access enquiries and escalate as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years prior experience in a similar role
- Understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation related to payroll processing activities
- High level customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate level MSOffice, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of team
- Previous experience with interpreting and understanding industrial instruments including Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Common Law arrangements (desirable).
