Workshop & Payroll Administrator

The Company

BCP Group is a long established company based in the South West with operating divisions covering civil contracting, plant hire, sand extraction & supply, demolition and traffic management. 

About the role

We are looking for a team player with a great work ethic and attitude to support the team. Part time and full time applications will be considered, with a minimum weekly commitment of approximately 25hrs a week.

Workshop Administrator duties include:

• Weekly fleet maintenance schedule 
• Checking fleet prestarts daily and updating Operations Manager and Workshop Manager for critical issues
• Management of Department of Transport online system – ensuring registrations are paid on time, updating any NVH category changes
• Annual Main Roads Heavy Vehicle accreditation audit and compliance – 
• All administration tasks for Heavy Haulage including maintenance of records throughout the year, compliance with fatigue management, dimensions, loading and maintenance (monthly internal audit)
• Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (RTA) compliance, annual external audit (quarterly internal audit)
• Checking truck driver daily dockets for compliance
• Approving invoices to purchase orders for payment

Payroll Administrator duties include:

• Checking operator dockets daily against client portals and operations schedule
• Entering dockets in to payroll software system (currently Sage)

Other Administration duties include:

• Reception duties (answering calls, taking messages, collecting mail, banking cheques, ordering stationery, office supplies and PPE)
• Arranging payment for urgent parts and invoices
• Assisting with HSEQ administration as required (asbestos, demolition and sand pit compliance)

Your Profile

We are seeking a strong mix of attitude and technical skills, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management.
• Knowledge and experience within the transport and/or construction industry highly regarded
