The Angove winery site is also home to the St Agnes Distillery, one of Australia’s oldest continuously operating distilleries. 

We are a diverse business. Our operations in Renmark include a commercial and micro winery, distillery and brandy storage, bottling/production, warehouse for storage and despatch and allied activities including maintenance, laboratory and administration. In addition to vineyard and winery holdings, an extensive wine portfolio and two cellar doors, the family owns and operates Vintage House Wine & Spirits, a national sales and marketing distribution business.  

We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team who take pride in producing and packaging a diverse and exciting range of wine and spirits for Australian and Export markets. 

This is a rare opportunity to join a small yet dedicated, capable team in an interesting and dynamic role. 

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our Finance and HR team based in Renmark, South Australia.  

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for:

  • the accurate maintenance and timely preparation of two fortnightly payrolls, including uploading, data entry and checking of time keeping records, processing leave records, wage rate changes, 
  • maintaining updated employee records in both the payroll system and employee files,
  • statutory reporting including superannuation, payroll tax, workers compensation etc.,
  • reporting payroll information to managers, and
  • responding to enquiries from employee and manager enquiries.

There is potential for the role to provide support across other aspects of finance, HR and safety for those candidates seeking Full Time employment. 

Essential pre-requisite skills include:

  • knowledge of payroll processing functions, 
  • the ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements, 
  • a high level of attention to detail, analytical ability, strong mathematical and problem-solving ability, 
  • the ability to work to deadlines and 
  • strong communication skills. 

On the job training will be provided in the specifics of Enterprise Agreements applicable to company employees, the software package (WageEasy) and company culture and values.
