HEO5 $77,409 - $86,072 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation.One full time continuing and 2x full time, fixed term positions available.The University of Adelaide is a large and successful university in Australia's Group of Eight research intensive universities, distinguished by its international reputation and commitment to innovation and excellence in research and teaching.The HR Branch is contained within the Division of University Operations and serves a client base of approximately 8,000 staff and 2,700 titleholders, across all campuses.Working under general direction, as the Payroll & Benefits Officer you'll be responsible for providing client-focused HR administration, payroll, superannuation and processing services, as well as maintaining the integrity of data in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS).This role also provides timely and accurate advice in respect of employee entitlements and provide services associated with the employee lifecycle including overtime calculations, termination payments, leave processing PAYG and testing. You'll enjoy working in a close-knit team environment, working closely with other key roles and teams across the HR branch.To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering professional HR, Payroll and Superannuation administration and the use of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills in providing advice and solutions to customers and stakeholders.
- Extensive experience gained within a complex business environment
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of workplace agreements, and HR policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrated, high level interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to provide excellent customer service in a large complex environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in the use of PeopleSoft in respect of Payroll, Employee Benefits and Leave
- Understanding of the Industrial landscape in the Higher Education sector
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education or training.
