Based in Sydney’s Northwest, our client is searching for an experienced payroll lead or manager to join the team in this newly created role. As one of the leaders in the building industry, this role has a focus managing the payroll team and leading the Kronos implementation project. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience with system implementation projects and a passion for managing a younger payroll team.
Responsibilities
As the Payroll manager, you will have 5 direct reports. Further responsibilities include:
- Driving the Kronos system implementation project and additional process improvements within the payroll function.
- Testing the new system and ensuring compliance with awards and EBAs
- Mentoring, coaching and leading the payroll team of 5
- Overseeing the payroll function, ensuring compliance.
- Calculating payroll tax, work cover and superannuation, processing new starters and terminations
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts and reporting as required
The ideal candidate for this position will fit the following criteria:
- Experience leading a system implementation project
- Previous experience in payroll management is highly desirable
- Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
- Knowledge of EBA’s and payroll tax laws
- Ability to lead and train individuals
- Effective time management
- Growth and process-driven mindset
