We have several new roles available for experienced Payroll Officers to join our Payroll Services and Systems Team within the wider SVHA People and Culture Team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager in your team, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll with a focus on audits and rounding in the project space, as well as assisting in the implementation of UKG Dimensions and iChris. Your role will work collaboratively with other P&C functions to manage administrative duties, reconcile and investigate audits, respond to payroll queries as well as other general payroll duties, and ensure effective communication of relevant and accurate information to all stakeholders.
These positions are Fixed Term Full Time either until the end of June 2024 or December 2024 and are based in Bowen Hills, Brisbane QLD.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure day-to-day administrative tasks of processing Payroll are accurately initiated within timelines and guidelines to ensure priorities and deadlines are met
- Verify and audit payroll input and output, test and train new payroll functions through the implementation process of iChris and UKG Dimensions
- Work collaboratively to ensure compliance in auditing and validating expected outcomes, reduce risk and seek continuous improvement opportunities
- Deliver high quality, timely and effective customer service to stakeholders at varying levels, helping resolve payroll queries and assist in implementing new and exciting projects within the organisation
- Update and maintain records, data files and reporting to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Things that work for us:
- Proven experience in a high volume, pressure driven payroll environment within a similar large and complex organisation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with employees, hiring managers, and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to guide and support on multiple priorities simultaneously and seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong payroll administration skills and proficiency with various payroll systems such as iChris/Chris21
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Human Resources, Payroll or similar field or qualified by experience
- Current 2023 Flu Vaccine and a minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations
