We are looking to recruit an experienced professional to join our Payroll team, based in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the management and accurate calculation, collation and processing of the payroll (monthly)
- Assisting with the calculation of commission payments
- Assisting with GL account reconciliations
- Management of all leave applications
- Answering payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Calculating terminations and other manual calculations including parental leave, long service leave, leave without pay etc.
- Interpreting and working within the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award
- General Payroll and HR administration duties.
Required experience:
- Qualification in Accounting and/or 1 - 3 years previous experience in an end-to-end payroll role an advantage
- Intermediate / Advanced Excel and numeracy skills
- Thorough approach and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Committed, reliable and highly organised
- Task focused
- Strong communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
