Our client:
Our client is a leading Construction/Engineering company that specialises in offering various engineering services across the mining/resources sector. They are looking to appoint a Payroll Officer to join their professional team. This position is being offered for a 6-month duration, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Payroll Tax Reporting
- Weekly payroll of casual, contractors and permanent staff 100+ employees
- Quarterly Superannuation lodgements
- Quarterly Construction Long Service Leave lodgement
- Assisting as needed in manual processing of all timesheets on a weekly basis, requiring timesheets to be interpreted and entered as per Enterprise Agreement (EA)
- Reporting to Accounts Manager
To be successful in this role:
- Previous Payroll Experience
- MYOB experience is a must
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
- Highly organised manner with excellent time management, attention to detail
- High level of initiative
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be dynamic, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain relationships.
- A strong interest and passion in a growth industry.
- A willingness to work collaboratively within a team and across other departments.
