About the Role
This full-time Payroll Officer position will initially be responsible for an end to end run for approximately 320 people, with positions underpinned by the Meat Industry Award and an Enterprise Agreement (EA). The payroll team of five, describe themselves as “the best payroll team in town”, because they care and support each other to succeed. The role will suit someone who has technically sound accountancy skills and the ability to quickly adapt to a large integrated payroll system and business with many entities.
Duties
Process weekly and fortnightly payrolls and manage records
Liaise with staff and management regarding payroll related queries
Maintain leave records and process leave, ensuring no negative balances
Manage encasements and confirm employees have a compliant balance
Interpret awards/agreements and contracts to ensure payroll complies
Calculate and process termination payments
Payroll reporting and administration
Skills and Experience
MS Office Suite proficiencies, with note to Excel
Technically sound accountancy skills and understanding of payroll
Excellence in time management and communication
Experience in processing large payrolls desirable
iChris knowledge desirable
