ABOUT THE ROLE The Payroll Officer is responsible for the processing of end-to-end payroll functions for multiple AFL Clubs and associated entities on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis, including general payroll administrative tasks as required. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF End-to-End Payroll Processing Work with various clubs and AFL entities to process payroll for various employment types, including casuals and permanent staff on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis Maintaining employee records in payroll database Processing of manual and online timesheets through the payroll system Processing and calculating termination payments including ETP and redundancies Month End Reporting and Processing Producing month end reports for AFL Clubs and entities as required, including superannuation, leave liabilities and general ledger reporting Balancing and posting general ledgers into finance system End of Year Processing Finalising EOY via STP for multiple AFL entities and Clubs Reconciliation of payrolls Reconciliation of payroll tax Processing Payroll Tax and Superannuation Calculation of payroll tax on a monthly basis and preparing end of year reconciliation Processing and maintaining superannuation monthly via clearing house Processing monthly payments through finance system OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Core Competencies: Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail Excellent time management Customer focused Effective communication Ability to work as a team and independently Ability to perform under pressure Strong attention to detail Mandatory Minimum 3 years' experience in end-to-end payroll Experience with Sage Micropay Superannuation legislation knowledge Payroll tax legislation knowledge Desirable Proficiency in Excel Working with large volume payrolls Experience using finance platform OUR CULTURE Please visit www.afl.com.au/careers/our-organisation THE PERKS Play The Day Your Way - a flexible approach to your working life My Development - lean into the AFL's My Development program consisting of on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring, and formal learning Play Well - access to our extensive Health and Wellbeing program centered around our belief in a healthy body, healthy mind, and healthy workplace My Benefits - with thanks to our AFL Corporate Partners, access great benefits and discounts AFL Silver Memberships - permanent team members can access AFL matches at Marvel Stadium and the MCG, enjoy and share the experience of our game with your family and friends!
