The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring the timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll processing for 350-400 employees;
- Onboarding and maintaining employee files;
- Understanding of payroll legislation and award interpretation;
- Termination, redundancy and leave calculations;
- Uploading payroll into the general ledger;
- Process superannuation to online clearing house;
- Maintain the Time and Attendance function;
- Payroll reconciliation, including posting journals and accruals; and
- Query management.
- 3 + years proven experience as a Payroll Officer within a similar sized organisation;
- Knowledge of Workday payroll software highly advantageous, but not essential;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information;
- Ability to work closely with HR regarding EBA, Modern Awards and Superannuation;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
- High level computer proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Salary circa 90-95k + super, depending on experience;
- South Brisbane location;
