About the Role
Exceptional opportunity for a talented Payroll Officer on a Full Time basis to utilize their payroll experience within a highly regarded organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading initiatives to improve the organization's system capabilities, processes & service delivery that to reflect best practice principles & strategy.
This role is based at our Head Office in Ingleburn
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Embody the ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to complete end-to-end fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a diverse employee base.
- Handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality and security.
- Address all payroll queries and inquiries, including issues related to short payments, tax deductions, and Superannuation.
- Work closely with the Finance Team and Human Resources Team to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
- Assist in setting up new employees on the Time and Attendance system.
- Process timesheets, including data entry and data integrity checks before importing data from the time and attendance system.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of the payroll system and processes.
- Interpret and understand payroll differences across different Australian states.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise agreements and relevant modern awards.
- At all times to represent Supagas in a positive and professional manner, recognising the key role is primary contact between the customers and Supagas - Internal and External.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with end-to-end payroll responsibilities for a multi-site, national business.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern awards.
- Previous experience working with Chris21 or similar payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of time and attendance systems (TMS).
- Professional and strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
