Overview of key responsibilities:
Reporting to a supportive Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but not be limited too:
- Fortnightly payroll processing for over 1,000 staff in a team environment
- Timesheet processing
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Processing and calculating leave applications as well as salary packaging
- Interpreting multiple awards and EBAs
- Providing accurate information and a timely response to employee queries
- Assisting internal stakeholders and resolve payroll queries via telephone and email
- Assisting the payroll manager and wider team when required
What our client is looking for:
The successful applicant will have experience in similar Payroll Officer role, as well as the following attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Ability to confidently work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and enjoy problem solving
- Prior experience using a large ERP system such as SAP or chris21
