Payroll Officer Pt

Our client is an S&P/ASX 300 listed business providing integrated end-to-end asset life-cycle services to utility and telecommunications asset owners. They are on the lookout for a part time Payroll Officer to facilitate the running, delivery and controlling of the payment of wages and salaries, and to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of related payroll records whilst adhering to the relevant statutory legislation, policies, and procedures.
  
Responsibilities  
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and process the weekly/fortnightly payrolls in a timely manner.
• Respond to payroll queries in a friendly and timely manner
• Prepare, maintain, and terminate employment contracts and employee files in accordance to awards and Fair Work legislation
• Handle Work Cover payments and process third-party deductions
• Process bonus payments and salary increases as directed
• Manage payroll data and audit checks
• Provide periodic management and finance reports
• Ensure data integrity and maintain employee records
• Manage overpayment administration, including calculations

  
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position along with the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum 2 years payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, taxation & award interpretation
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to cope with a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills
