Payroll Officer/Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer/Accounts Assistant to join our team to process a weekly payroll for approximately 65 staff and growing fast.
This is a part-time position for between 23 to 30 hours per week, with flexibility on days and hours facilitating individual circumstances.

The Position
Working with our Accounts Coordinator, the main duties and responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end processing of weekly payroll for 65 employees and growing.
- First point of contact for staff and management on payroll-related queries.
- Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations including but not limited to payroll tax, PAYG, WA Long Service Leave and Superannuation submissions.
- Awards interpretation and shift calculations.
- Payroll system and employee information maintenance.
- Administration of Apprentice claims.
- Assisting Accounts Receivable and Payable, including accurate data entry of supplier invoices, staff expenses and credit card payments, receipting supplier deliveries, and processing sales invoices.
- Assists follow up of overdue payments and reporting.
- Process new customer account applications.
- Providing general support with various accounts, administrative and clerical tasks according to the needs of the business.
- Reception support - primarily phone coverage
Essentials
- Previous experience in payroll and accounts admin, familiarity with Xero and simPRO is preferred, but not essential.
- Good understanding of award interpretation, employment legislation, taxation, superannuation, and workers compensation as they relate to payroll processing
- A high level of attention to detail, strong organisation, and time management skills
- Deep understanding of confidentiality and discretion, with honesty & integrity beyond reproach.
- Exceptional attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quick to learn new systems and applications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; verbal, written and listening.

Office hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4:00pm.
