About the role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team for a full time 12-month maternity leave contract to start immediately. This role will support the People & Culture Manager and will work as an integral part of our small People & Culture Team, ensuring we deliver quality people services to over 500 employees statewide. This position is ideal for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator/Officer looking to take their next career step. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement and will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide initial advice and support people inquiries, escalating complex issues to P&C Manager. Assist P&C Manager in managing employee relations matters under guidance.
- Driving and supporting culture and engagement initiatives
- Support the deployment and ongoing management of the HRIS, ensuring accurate data handling and system efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of people policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational goals.
- Help leaders interpret awards and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and minimise industrial or employee relations risks.
- General administrative duties.
- Engage in project work to complete department initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or similar is highly desirable but not essential.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a People & Culture Coordinator/ Officer.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Personal drive and a proven ability to achieve results.
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in relationship building, communication, decision making, influencing, coaching and team work.
- High levels of discretion and the ability to keep information confidential.
