People and Culture Advisor

The roleTransdev WA is seeking an experienced People and Culture Advisor to support the People and Culture team in supporting the business for all human resource related matters.A true generalist role, the successful candidate will assist the People and Culture team with employee and industrial relations, generalist advice to the wider business and human resource related project work. In this fast-paced operational HR role, you will have the opportunity to join an experienced team that values development opportunities. What you can expect in this role:Delivering best practice support and advice on a range of HR matters including Employee and Industrial Relations, our Enterprise Agreement, Performance Management, discipline/grievance resolution and HR governancePreparing and delivering various HR project work in areas of Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion and employee engagementConducting workplace investigations and supporting managers with grievances and/or disciplinary matters Supporting the review of company policies and procedures, including implementation as required.Drafting employment related documentation including but not limited to employment contracts and variations, employment change letters, individual flexibility agreements, position descriptionsSystem data entry as required i.e. employee records and governance related licensingContributing regular consultative committees aligned with our enterprise agreement Assisting with governance and preparation of regular requirements as outlined within our enterprise agreement Providing HR data from our internal systems for audits, line managers and reporting purposesRegular reporting on various HR metrics including but not limited to absenteeism, leave liabilities and employee turnoverWhat we’re looking for:Extensive experience in HR AdvisoryTertiary qualifications in HR, or equivalent experience in a similar roleDemonstrated experience in providing HR/ER adviceStrong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written abilitiesExperience working in a unionised environment is desired but not essentialAbout you:You will have experience working in an operational environment, preferably unionised and have experience working with interpretation of enterprise agreements. You will be able to interpret the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards and be able to translate your interpretation into best practice, practical advice.
