Our Role

This role is for a People and Culture generalist with a passion for people. You will need to be able to deliver a broad range of People and Culture initiatives across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee experience, industrial relation, and organisational design.  This includes:

• Build effective and collaborative relationships across Council,
• Be a key driver for an exceptional recruitment experience that supports great talent acquisition,
• Provide advice and support on succession planning, flexible work, career conversations and organisational design,
• Support and continue to improve our People and Culture systems and processes,
• Deliver accurate and timely advice and support on all levels of employee/industrial relations including being able to conduct investigations.
• Promote and coach everyone on being able to raise concerns and resolve them early.

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will;

• Hold relevant qualifications in human resources, related field or relevant industry experience,
• Have effective negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving and influencing skills,
• Demonstrated experience in organisational design, development and change management,
• Proven experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse group of key stakeholders and acting as a trusted adviser,
• The ability to make rational and sound decisions based on consideration of the facts and the alternatives.
