About Redkite
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it affects the whole family. In the daunting and unpredictable experience that follows diagnosis, a child needs as much stability and support from their family as possible. Redkite is a lifeline for families, providing real emotional, financial and practical support. Because holding it together when your child’s life is in question can feel impossible.
About the role
We have two fantastic opportunities for talented individuals who are keen to grow their People and Culture capabilities. Both roles have entry level generalist duties at their core; employee lifecycle operations, onboarding, off boarding, personnel file management, first level support for employee queries, wellbeing program coordination, employee communications and policy administration.
Both roles will have opportunities to contribute to broader People and Culture projects or initiatives such as remuneration cycles, employee value proposition development and employee engagement initiatives.
However, in addition to core responsibilities for foundational generalist outcomes, each role has a designated specialty, an area for you to own and grow your specialist credentials to further your career for the future. Those specialty areas are: -
1) Recruitment & Selection; or
2) Digital Systems (HRIS) Administration (including outsourced payroll support).
About you
You may be a recent graduate eager to take the next step in your career, or perhaps you are a more experienced people & culture professional looking for a role that genuinely makes a difference to your colleagues and ultimately in Redkite’s case, the families we support.
You will possess strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. You will also have the capacity to develop strong relationships with stakeholders from across our organisation.
Your study in human resources (and/or your experience in human resources) has provided you with an insight into an organisation’s people & culture responsibilities more broadly, e.g. legislative compliance, safety and wellbeing, performance management and reward and recognition.
With that context and understanding, you have a genuine passion for People and Culture’s aims and a strong desire to make a positive impact on employees' experience at work.
Your experience:
In addition to qualities above we are looking for: -
• Prior experience in P&C coordination, P&C generalist administration support.
• Experience with P&C software and tools, demonstrating your ability to adapt to evolving technology and leverage functionality for process improvement.
• Ready to work systems smarts; Excel, Powerpoint, Word and ideally within Microsoft 365 suite functionality.
• Undergraduate qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, are highly desirable.
• A desire to work onsite in our Surry Hills office.
• Permanent work rights in Australia
-Digital Systems (HRIS) Administration (including outsourced payroll support).
If you are interested in driving the improvement of employee experience through the Digital Systems Administration Speciality (people analytics, process improvement, user access to engaging information, systems migration and payroll support for an outsourced payroll) then demonstrable experience (12 months) in a systems administration and/or payroll administration role is preferred. If you have strong Employment Hero experience that is particularly desirable to us.
-Recruitment & Selection
If you are interested in the Recruitment & Selection Speciality, then exposure to recruitment & selection process in some capacity (12 months) is preferred. Experience with recruitment & selection through a contemporary application tracking system, is an added bonus for you. And if that ATS is Employment Hero, that would be fantastic.
If your interest in either specialty is not supported by any work experience in the area, then please share in your covering letter why you are interested in that area, and why you know you will excel in that specialty.
How to apply:
Please, please, please attach a cover letter to your CV. A cover letter is your opportunity to identify why this role is aligned to your interests and career aspirations. In your cover letter it will be really helpful for you to comment on your generalist P&C experience and then identify which speciality area is of interest to you, and why.
If you’re keen to join a compassionate and collaborative team making a real difference, apply now. We’ll be checking applications as they come in, so don’t delay.
For a confidential discussion about the opportunity please call Vanessa on 02 9219 4***
Applicants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander are warmly encouraged to apply.
