About the Position
Reporting to the Business & Project Manager, the People and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in building and coordinating the HR and Culture functions within the College.
With sound generalist HR skills, and high-level people skills, this role is responsible for working with the Principal and Executive to manage recruitment and on-boarding, supporting management with performance related matters, providing professional advice within the area of responsibility, and participating in the development of a quality and compliant HR and Culture framework in alignment with Lighthouse Christian College mission and values.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in facilitating recruitment and selection processes to meet organisational requirements
- Good understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009, MA000076 Education Award, and award interpretation, NES, enterprise bargaining and all relevant compliance requirements
- Ability to set suitable HR metrics, and deliver meaningful and accurate reporting
- General understanding of RTW and the WorkCover framework
- Experience with managing staff performance issues
- Excellent communication skills- both written and oral.
- Experience with developing and or supporting the development of policies and procedures
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office excel, word, and social media platforms
- Minimum Advanced Diploma qualifications in Human Resources or HR Degree including 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience HR system and TASS education system is highly desirable
- Previous experience in an educational setting will be highly regarded.
