Job description

AJC is looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to support and work alongside the People & Culture Lead. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, with the priority being ensuring all employee records are maintained accurately, and promptly, and confidentiality is protected.

As the People & Culture Coordinator, you will join the People & Culture Lead to support our team through the entire employee lifecycle. You will play a distinctive role in brainstorming the design & implementation of new People & Culture initiatives that attract, engage & retain top talent in our industry, and support our growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the People & Culture Lead in managing all systems and operations of the People Team
  • Entry and maintenance of employee data and personnel records both internally and in multiple HR, payroll, and project management systems
  • Tracking employee paid time off and accruals and entering information into systems
  • Acting as the main point of contact for HR questions and assisting
  • Preparing monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Coordinating with the Finance team on monthly payroll adjustments and submittal
  • Assisting with recruitment efforts, including job posts, interview coordination, pre-hire documentation, and onboarding new employees
  • Working with the People & Culture Lead to maintain and explain company policies
  • Varying ad-hoc tasks in support of the People Team and staff at large

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of professional work experience involving administration
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Sense of curiosity and interest in improving the employee experience
  • Is capable of multitasking projects that often vary in scale and scope
  • Is proactive and completes tasks with both discretion and a sense of urgency

This job description reflects the core activities of the role although there will be changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time. There is a requirement for applicants to recognise this and adopt a flexible approach to work.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Experience with policy writing
  • Familiarity with Employment Hero
  • Interest or knowledge of the architectural industry
