What we are looking for
UNICEF Australia is on the lookout for a detail-oriented People and Culture Coordinator who is proactive, keen to learn and ready to support in various areas of HR.
Reporting directly to the People and Culture Manager, your role will assist the People and Culture team by handling administrative tasks and coordinating various phases of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, induction, training, performance management and offboarding, along with other People and Culture initiatives.
Your day will include
- Coordinating and overseeing UNICEF Australia’s onboarding and offboarding processes
- Supporting in the coordination of People and Culture training sessions and induction programs
- Creation of employment contracts, amendments and official correspondence
- Managing employee records using UNICEF Australia’s HR system
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of UNICEF Australia’s HR system and procedures
- Managing the compliance of Probity Checks
- Monitoring the HR Support ticketing platform and respective inbox, categorising and addressing team member queries
- Supporting the People and Culture Manager on a range of initiatives and projects including performance cycles, remuneration reviews, Wellbeing, Health and Safety initiatives, HR reporting and more
- Quick Learner with HR Experience:
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail with experience in HR or People and Culture Coordination roles
- Tech-Savvy and HRIS Proficient:
- Proficient in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) and highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, SharePoint and Teams
- Highly Organised with Time Management Skills:
- A self-starter with excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and adapting quickly
- Data Interpretation and Decision-Making:
- Skilled in researching, collating and interpreting data to inform decisions
- Exceptional Written Communication:
- Possesses strong written communication skills for preparing clear and accurate documents and correspondence
- Strong Interpersonal Skills:
- Capable of developing and managing internal and external relationships, gaining trust and respect through high-level interpersonal skills
- Problem Solving and Process Improvement:
- Able to apply reason and judgment to solve problems, willing to engage in process and system improvements, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism
