About the Role
Our Industrial and Energy West team have an opportunity for a Permit Officer on a 2/2 roster on Barrow Island.
- Overseeing and management of PTW process for approval and endorsement for works to commence in the field, at the work front
- Reviewing approved PTW ( COW ) submitted for work activities to ensure correct TCC code applies to SOW, including relevant information for hazard identification and control, including documentation for isolation, hot works, SDS etc as required, prior to approvals to proceed to carry out works associated to the Permit
- Monitor and review PTW process from submission to issuing and close out
- Review of every permit individually in the field and at the work front, to identify any possibility of error or incorrect or missing information that may occur, including validation to proceed to work
- The refusal of any permits that do not have the relevant paperwork, plant identification, hazard controls, or fall outside the boundaries of the PTW system
- Identifying P&ID discrepancies including incorrect tags, label's and process flow
- Review P&ID's for plant/ and equipment making sure that the correct isolations are on the correct isolation devises that are to be worked on
- Isolation walk the line and prove of zero energy
- Maintaining communications with all contractors and off plot PTW users to achieve positive outcomes and zero conflict of work situations (SIMOPS)
- Assisting all departments in the preparation of the relevant permits and associated certificates and documents. This includes process plant and equipment in high risk areas and high populated work areas
- Provide assistance, guidance and coaching to permit users
- Ensuring all personnel understand the BWI Permit to work system, environmental, safety standards and regulations, ensuring that these are considered prior to commencing work
- Ensure the 'hierarchy of controls' are followed to ensure that any risk is mitigated to its least potential to prevent harm or injury (ALARP) to people, plant, equipment and the environment
- Auditing of systems and processes
- Maintaining compliance of relevant regulatory requirements
About You
- Minimum 5+ years the construction/maintenance industry
- Ideally 2+ years in a similar role
- Trade Qualified background.
- Ability to read and understand Electrical, Mechanical and Process drawings.
- Understanding of Permit to Work process flow.
- Computer literate for Control of Work data entry and permit processing control
- Class C Driver's License
