About The Role
Are you ready to be at the heart of a fast-paced, innovative startup? We are seeking an Personal Assistant to provide crucial support to our Managing Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to be an essential part of a dynamic and forward-thinking company. An ideal candidate will be passionate, organised and emotionally intelligent to handle a wide range of responsibilities to support in the smooth running of the MD’s days.
In this role you will:
- Provide Administrative Support: Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks for our MD, including calendar management, email correspondence, and document preparation.
- Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between our MD and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring efficient and timely communication.
- Organise and Coordinate: Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements, ensuring all logistics are handled seamlessly.
- Support in building the MD’s profile & network - Respond to messages and invites, research and book attendance at relevant events.
- Data Management: Assist in organising and maintaining important documents and data, making them easily accessible when needed.
- Events Management: Support the People & Culture team in running office & team events.
- Office Management: Keep the office a comfortable, attractive and clean place to work in (whether this is watering the plants, emptying the dishwasher, upgrading facilities/decor, ordering snacks or stationary etc)
- Adhoc Project Support: Contribute to various projects, from research to presentations, to help drive the company's initiatives
- Note taking and meeting facilitation
- Some adhoc Personal Assistant tasks such as booking appointments
We think you will need:
- At least 1 year previous experience in an personal/executive assistant, especially relevant if in a startup company.
- Able/happy to work from our Alexandria office 5 days per week.
- Passion for being an PA/EA and growing a career in this role.
- High level of emotional Intelligence - Warm, friendly and approachable to a wide variety of stakeholders. Protect the MD’s time but be human about doing so. Represent the MD’s values and care for their team.
- Resilient and keen for a challenge, solution orientated and proactive.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- A high level of maturity, discretion, loyalty, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
- A self-starter who anticipates needs, takes initiative, and can work independently.
